Driver Training Coordinator
Responsible for graduation process of trainees completing the required training period to become first seat drivers.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
* Perform outbound calls to trainees and validates progress of skills training through an assessment tool. The purpose and frequency of these calls will be determined by standard operating procedures.
* Keep driver supervisor informed of training progress and notify them of any training deficiencies that require the driver supervisor to address with the trainee and training advisor.
* Responsible for seating trainee to the appropriate training advisor.
* Coordinate the meeting location between the training advisor and trainee; this will include arranging transportation and overnight accommodations per company guidelines.
* Communicate with stakeholders (e.g. Fleet Manager, Load Planning, etc.) on establishing necessary routes to facilitate the meeting location.
* Appropriately triage incoming calls and route trainee to the appropriate area (e.g. Fleet Manager, etc.).
* Process after-hours travel reimbursements as necessary per standard operating procedures.
* Any combination of experience or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
* 0 - 2 years of related experience performing general clerical/administrative functions, call center/customer service, etc. required.
* Experience in the transportation industry a plus.
* Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft products.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of personalities and backgrounds and provide detailed and accurate reports.
* Ability to work as a team and adapt to change quickly.
* Strong problem solving skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
**Work Environment:**this job operates in a normal professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines, and filing cabinets.
**Physical Requirements:** while performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle or feel; and reaches with hands and arms.
This is an hourly position with a paygrade of HR06.
