Coordinator, Collections I
To collect all unpaid, overdue trade accounts receivable. Works with the Problem Resolution Department in resolving errors such as rates, fuel surcharge, bill to's; etc. that will help to provide an accurate Aging balance. Assists both internal and external customers with questions pertaining to freight invoice creation, invoicing requirements and collection practices. Assists Credit and Collection management in the design of the process flow efficiently collections outstanding receivable balances from our customer base.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
* Corresponds with customers owing past due amounts by telephone, fax, mail or email.
* Plan and execute actions that includes documentation to provide a customer with information needed in order to promptly clear past due accounts.
* Obtains and mails 2nd request and balance due invoices as requested by customer.
* To research as necessary any past due amounts through sales, rates or billing and request any needed corrections.
* Assist with related special projects as required.
* Contacts customers and Sales Representatives pertaining to invoicing requirements.
* Communicates receivable management practices to both internal and external customers
* Any combination of education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
* 2 Years Collection experience or equivalent.
* USX or trucking experience beneficial.
* Good understanding of personal computers, Microsoft Excel and Word, Get Paid collections software.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills

**Work Environment:**this job operates in a normal professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines, and filing cabinets.
